Work completed the same afternoon after I called in the morning detailing the problem. Everything was fine. They even sent a fellow golfer! The only (small) negative was that the details I gave in my call that morning hadn't been passed on to Tony, when he arrived to do the work - I had been trying to clear the drain myself when the brush head came off my drain cleaning kit and got stuck down the drain, making matters worse. Tony was able to recover it.

I had been living with an awful smell in the house since I moved in 2 months ago. I've had 3 plumbers to the house and not one was able to resolve the problem. Engineer from Happy Drains came out today and identified the problem immediately. He cleared a blocked gully beneath the kitchen window and instantly the foul smell has disappeared! I am thrilled!!! Outside drained unblocked. This was the drain that waste water from the kitchen and washing machine drained to and the blockage had caused water to push back up into the washing machine which left a reservoir of very smelly water in the machine.
Paul arrived and after speaking to me for 2-3 minuted he quickly diagnosed the issue and rectified the blockage. It wasn't a big job and it only tool him about 10 minutes but he showed me what was causing the blockage and made sure it was fully unblocked before packing up. He was also kind enough to advise me on best practice to ensure these type of blockages do not occur in the future.

"After trying to clear outside gully by hand, I feared a major underground issue. After seeing good reviews, I called Happy Drains Norwich. A non urgent visit was agreed 8am-12. On the day, He called to advise on the way. Shortly after, he called again to advise that he had to attend an emergency and would it be OK in 1 hour. I agreed and he arrived in originally agreed time window. Relying on experience, he determined that the gully outlet was in a surprise position and he removed bits of concrete and old fat. Quick job but fee was ok for his experience and his very flexible wrists!"
