Do I need a CCTV survey?

A CCTV Drain Survey involves feeding small CCTV cameras inside your drainage pipes. As your drains are often underground or otherwise inaccessible, it’s the best way to see exactly what is going on, from blockages to cracked pipes. With our high-tech equipment and software, a CCTV survey is a fast, accurate, and cost-effective way to get a thorough understanding of your drainage system.

If for instance you are moving home and want to check that the drains in your new property are in full working order, a CCTV survey would be ideal. It’s not a compulsory part of your survey, but it is recommended if you have any concerns at all! Likewise, if you’re thinking of having an extension which may involve building over pipework, a CCTV survey can help satisfy architects, planners and your builders.

If the CCTV survey identifies that you have damage or issues which could involve making a claim on your buildings insurance policy, we are more than happy to help. Happy Drains will offer to manage the claim for you, and use the CCTV survey as part of a clear written report for your insurance company. You can find out more on our CCTV survey page – just click the link at the top of our homepage.
